Rainfall forecasts released across Australia

 In Uncategorized

Summer is coming, and with it, some of Australia's toughest climate conditions. With intense heat, solar radiation and drier-than-average months on the way, Australia's property owners are preparing to deal with drought, storms, bushfires and other climate-related events.

With an adequate water-storage plan, rainwater can be used to cut utility bills and supply a sustainable amount of water as we approach the summer months. Before we look ahead too far, though, how are the climate conditions looking for the remainder of the year? The Bureau of Meteorology's outlook report for October to December 2015 shines some light.

1) Sydney

The New South Wales capital is expected to be one of the driest places in Australia, with the chance of the region exceeding the average amount of rainfall sitting at only 25 per cent. Residents can expect drier conditions and a need to use their polyethylene water tanks more often.

2) Melbourne

Those living in the Victorian capital have similarly dry conditions on the way, with only a 30 per cent chance that rainfall will reach median amounts.

3) Brisbane

Most of Queensland has around a 50 per cent chance of average rainfall in the coming months, including Brisbane. However, those on the northern-most tip will find conditions similar to Sydney.

4) Adelaide

The South Australian capital will have a 50 per cent chance of beating the rainfall norm, though that remains a scant consolation for many on the southern seaboard worried about drought. Meanwhile, those in the north-eastern parts of the state will see their chances rise to 75 per cent.

5) Perth

Perthites have an improved chance of rain before the summer months truly kick in, with a 55 per cent window of opportunity for those in the capital to see average rainfall.

6) Darwin

Residents of the Northern Territory capital are in a mixed position. The region has around a 50 per cent chance of seeing normal amounts of rainfall, though in other northern portions of the state, this drops to around 25 per cent.

7) Hobart

Last but by no means least, those in the Apple Isle capital will have a 45-50 per cent chance of average rainfall. Meanwhile, a poly water tank will help people secure what water does fall for the upcoming dry months.

Wherever you are in Australia, your local poly water tank supplier will be able to help you plan ahead.
